A Matter of Perspective

Sometimes I call it a bout of unbelieveable laziness and a squandering of time much better spent creating and/or doing.

Sometimes I call it a body's perfectly normal and natural need to have a little down time.

Sometimes I think it's a result of a very busy work schedule complicated by things like back pain and a need to get everything done as quickly as possible.

Sometimes I think it's a result of an unwillingness and/or motivation to move ones a$$ off the couch.

Whatever it is, whatever its cause, I got it. I told Hubby that for the first time in a few years, I wish we had a TV in the bedroom. But we don't. And since I've spent the first large chunk of the evening laying on the couch in front of the TV, it's time to spend the next large chunk of the evening in bed, reading.

And sometimes? Sometimes I just call it Friday night.

I call it taking time for yourself you need to unwind & watching TV & Reading are both great ways of doing that

ahhh Friday night :) I always think I should get so much done but the business of the week usually gets the best of me and I end up vegging a good part of the night away and then wake up Saturday morning raring to go. Have a great weekend!

Friday gets me, too! I feel like I should be productive and then I get frustrated. Finally, I told myself last night that I needed to stop expecting anything of myself on Fridays and just plan to watch a movie or read a book. Saturday mornings I feel much better!

Oh my word Kim! You work circles around me, especially in the quilting world, and I'm not even working! Rest is good for the soul and gets those creative, hard working cells moving again. All a part of the process! Hope you had a great Friday night!

Kim,
Sounds like you are doing what your body needs you to do- I find that I am pretty spent by Friday nights these days. I often choose not to have any outings on Friday night because I am just too tired-
Time for me to get working on things to go in the big garbage bin in my back yard.
Hope your back feels better and you get a chance to get some quilting done too.( or enjoy a good book)

Regards,
Anna

Fridays nights are interesting to say the least. Some times on Friday nights I am so tired after work I can hardly walk. Sounds like you are making the best of the situation that your back/body is in after one heck of a week. Enjoy your week off. You deserve a week off, hey, Kim, take the week off.

Hugs

PS it should be TGFS Thank God For Saturdays and Sundays :o)
