A Little Something

I don't have a whole lot to say today, but I'm feeling a little better mentally and physically. Must have been that box of Godiva chocolates I ate. (Okay, I'm just kidding!) Thanks for all your encouraging comments!

I've switched out my machines and my Bernina is back on the table. For the last month, while quilting the monster, I've been looking at a vintage lace tablerunner that was falling apart. The lace had holes and was unraveling. I knew I wanted to cut out a "good" section and use it to make a pillow, so that's exactly what I did last night. It felt good to get one thing done! (Once again, I admit I'm not the greatest photographer--the chair is actually a lighter wine red.)

I love being a contrarian so I'm saying "Walk away from the chocolate!"...LOL. Eating it will only make you feel like you have accomplished even less once the thrill is gone!

Actually, I've been getting into sugar-free jello with whipped cream lately. (Or, maybe I should have said that the other way around????) Although in this heat, getting into some jello and whipped cream ain't a half bad idea either!

Well, that pillow is just about the cutest thing I've seen this week. What a clever idea! Is the lace just on the front or does it wrap all the way around the pillow?

Glad you're doing better!

Great work, Kim. It looks so nice against the dark chair and I noted the walls are also yellow. It's such a pretty color and everything goes together. Uh, the chocolates, I eat it for medicinal purposes only, don't you?

The pillow is beautiful and looks great on the chair. It feels good to get something DONE. When you are working on a big time consuming project like the monster quilt, sometimes it takes a break and a quick fix project to get you feeling better!

That's a great pillow and I love that chair. Is it an antique chair?

The pillow is really pretty and is the perfect fit for that gorgeous chair! I think sitting down and creating something is the best remedy for kicking the blahs in the butt, which is just what they deserve! I'm glad you're feeling better!
