Christmas? Valentine's Day? Easter?

Does anyone know what holiday it is?! Well, yes, I actually DO, but tonight's post covers quite a few so it seems a little confusing! I thought I'd show you what I've been working on this evening--a wool bunny pillow:

Why a wool bunny pillow? Well, I'm going to teach a class about wool in early February, and since tomorrow (Sunday) is the open house at Bearpaws & Hollyhocks, I wanted to have something to show. In my class, I'll talk about working with wool, where to find it, and how to prepare it if it isn't already prepared. I'll also give the students a pattern and a kit to work with. I'm thinking about offering a choice of a couple kits, and this would be one of them.

Before Christmas gets away altogether, I wanted to show you the box my friend Missy gave me--the box was actually the gift although it was filled with lemons. She does a really nice job decorating these, doesn't she?

Now on to Valentine's Day--I promised to show you some of the quilts and decorations I put up yesterday, so here they are:

This is the quilt I taught in my first class last year--some of you even bought the class pattern--which makes it the first pattern I sold as well!

The kitchen hutch, above, and the chest of drawers area, below--with the Valentine tree.

The table, with a quilt made from charm packs--this was a quick and easy quilt to make.

And then there are the snowpeople occupying the guest bathroom. There are more than these guys, but this is the largest concentration.

If you're in the Sacramento area, and are out and about tomorrow afternoon, stop by Bearpaws & Hollyhocks' open house and say hi! Thanks for visiting.

I think if I was in the Sacramento area I'd be more likely to stop by your house and have a good look at all your decorations!
Doesn't your bathroom get a bit chilly with all those snowmen standing about chatting?
Love your quilts, especially the one with the trees, and the one with the sort of woven hearts, which is a pattern I've been meaning to try ouy for a long time, but of course haven't got round to... yet...

Kim, your classes always sound so wonderful. I wish I lived close enough to take one but Michigan is a bit too far.
Today we are planning to take down the Christmas decorations. It looks like you've beat us to it!

i LOVE the quilt behind the Valentine tree - and the quilt behind the snowpeople - and the quilt on the table - and the heart quilt with the vintage valentine borders ... you rock!

our tree is still up - but that's okay, cuz (if we put it up) it stays out till the broncos are either out of the playoffs or win the SuperBowl - and i think today may be it's last

Love the striped border you put on your simple charm square table topper. Can you tell me how big you cut your setting triangles? I want to make one of these cute and simple quilts. Did you see that I posted a picture of my heart quilt with your pattern on my blog yesterday? I want to get it quilted for this Valentine's Day.

Cute! That heart quilt is really pretty. I have a very similar green hutch that I love to decorate. I put away my Xmas stuff today...boxes and boxes worth...then got out my Valentines decorations, which consist of two little framed stitcheries and two heart thingys my kids made in school. I'm thinking I need to do some shopping! LOL

Kim, what is the pattern for the quilt top using charms? Looks simple but festive!
