Tired!

Gosh, I'm tired tonight! Sorry, but I don't think this will be much of a blog post.

Today I taught the Christmas class, and I think it went well. At least I know I enjoyed myself! And after class? Gran and I went to dinner at a Chinese restaurant and caught up with each other's lives--we've both been busy lately and haven't had an opportunity to get together, so it was a really nice evening.

And, just as I was thinking about this being the last class of the year and being done for awhile, what do you think Lindy wanted to know today? What classes did I have in mind for 2010! And here I was thinking I'd have a little time to figure it out! I'm still not sure, but I committed to a class on the first Saturday of February and another on the first Saturday of May. I guess I'd better figure out what I'm teaching soon!

Spike and Mr. No-Name PT have been circling around one another all day long as well as last night. A good part of the time, Mr. No-Name has been safely housed in the Wild Child's former bedroom except for those times when I could referee the pets. Frankly, I'm not sure which one is meaner--Spike or the kitten! The little one certainly can growl and hiss nearly as loudly as Spike and they've had a couple confrontations. In fact, as I'm typing this, I can feel Mr. No-Name crossing over my feet every now and then, climbing around in the baskets of wool under my desk while Spike sits at the edge of the desk top next to me, peering underneath and watching the kitten a bit frantically. Sometimes it's a little hard to be patient and continue to show both of them affection when what I'd really like to do is knock a couple cat heads together and say, "Now get along! I'm tired of this nonsense!"

It's Hubby's "job" to name Mr. No-Name but so far he hasn't come up with anything suitable. I kind of liked one of his suggestions--"Stitch"--but I thought it might be better to give him a name that doesn't start with the "S" sound, so it doesn't sound like "Spike." The other possibility we both kind of liked was Freeway, because that's where he was rescued from, but we're not sure.

Time to go to bed before I nod off at the keyboard. I'm not sure what's on my personal agenda for tomorrow, but right now I think starting the day with "sleeping in" might work!

Your little kitten is the absolute image of my cat when he was tiny. Beautiful. His name is Marley ( named after Bob Marley ) He was our first cat and we have since got 2 more. Took a long while for them to all settle down together but they are great now. Good luck xx

Well let me just tell you that we STILL have loud, hissing/spitting confrontations between our cats and our German Shepherd puppy...and the puppy has lived with us since MEMORIAL DAY!!!! But I'm sure your two will get along sooner than that...being the same species and all.

Name him Blacktop (after the asphalt).

Either their will have it out and then get along and be buddies/playmates or they will have it out and give each other due respect and keep their distance from each other, I have had it both ways with cats I have mingled together. It's a mixed bag. LOL

I have 10 of the beasts. lol. A couple of them are just plain bullies and pick on the others just because they can. On the other hand, I just saw two of them playing chase yesterday without all the squalling that usually takes place.

I think Freeway or Blacktop are really cute names. However you probably start calling him PT for Physical Trainer. LOL

I love, love you new baby! What a little doll, and I am glad he can fend for himself with the big Kitties a little. Glad you had fun at your class and out to eat.

You new little kitty is so cute! He reminds me of my kitty that I rescued 9 years ago.

I'm in the Christmas spirit, too! I guess it's a good thing since it's 46 days away. I gasped when I read that!!!!
