Welcome Fall!

So I stayed inside all day, in the air conditioning, and pretended it was much cooler outside than it was. And I did a lot of the things I said I wanted to do.

I decorated my home for fall.

And I decorated some more--until I was done!

I roasted a chicken. And I made mashed potatoes, green beans, and gravy.

I made apple-something. No photo, but I baked a couple of apples and served them with vanilla ice cream. Maybe tomorrow I'll make an Apple Hill Cake. Or apple pie. Or apple turnovers.

And soup? I even made soup!

So what if it was over 100 degrees outside? Inside, fall has arrived!

Well, I just don't understand it - I went out yesterday, worked out which direction and BLEW as hard as I could so autumn got to you. Perhaps I blew so hard it went straight through and into your house?

That does it....I'm getting my fall stuff out, o'wait I took all of my fall stuff to my store years ago, o'well guess I'll have to go out and buy more...and yes today it feels like fall, I'm gonna get up from the computer and make cinnamon orange pancakes for breakfast that'll really make the house smell fallish.

Kim,
Fall has arrived inside your house- as always it looks beautiful- I have the fall box sitting on the floor in front of me waiting for me to get busy and change the summer decor to fall. You were one busy lady yesterday- and that stuffed chicken looks yummy.

Have you always lived in Northern California?

Fall is beginning to appear here in Alberta- though we had the hottest day on record last Wednesday. It was 34 degrees celcius - my classroom was a cooking place I can tell you..

The leaves on our boulevard are beginning turn yellow - they will soon form a glorious yellow canopy over the street.
If you get a chance, you may want to pop by my blog and check out my thrifty finds- I thought of you as I played at the flea market table.

Warmest regards,
Anna

You made my day!
The decorating that you did is wonderful. Don't you love what Dianne said about swimming out to the ship if it doesn't come in! Never heard that one before and I can envision you out there swimming away.

Apple Hill is in full swing. I was up there yesterday - lots of pumpkins - mostly $1.00 a pound as pumpkins did not do too well with the crazy weather this year (so they say); good pies, great cider, lots of crafts - many of the oldies but goodies.
