Wish You Were Here!

Tomorrow (Saturday) I'll be teaching the Fireworks! pattern at Bearpaws & Hollyhocks, and I'm sure it will be another day of fun! I wish you all could attend, but since you can't, I thought I'd have a little giveaway for those of you who are too far away.

If you would like to be an "honorary student" of my class, leave me a comment, and I'll draw a winner on Saturday night, to be posted on the next blog post (Saturday night/Sunday).

Oh, were you wondering what you'd win if your name is drawn? Well, I can't tell you! You see, I always like to surprise my students! I WILL tell you, though, that you'll receive the same "giftie packet" that I'm giving the students. Unfortunately, I won't be able to send you the lunch I'm serving them because hot dogs and macaroni salad don't travel well through the mail, and the postal service tends to get a little annoyed by soggy packages.

Along with announcing the winner tomorrow night, I hope to post a few class photos, including a photo of the prize. See you then!

I'll pretend like I'm in your class and make the fireworks quilt as soon as I receive the pattern in the mail, I ordered it 6-2-09.Wouldn't it be fun if I got picked for the "giftie"? lol Well a girl can dream.........

dianne said...

i would love to take one of your classes - none of my quilt instructors have EVER treated any of us to gifties, let alone FOOD ... i'd even be willing to take my chances on macaroni salad that's been in the mail long enough to get here, if that's what it takes to be an honorary student!

I absolutely love this pattern! I wish I could attend your class, but I live in sw lower michigan out in the country--yep a country gal! I really enjoy your blog and all your great ideas! Please pick me for the "gifties giveaway"--it's lonely out here in the country and I enjoy quilting every minute I can! Have a wonderful day!

Your students are so spoiled. The most I have gotten in a quilting class is small bits of old chocolate that the teachers found hidden in forgotten places.

Your class sounds like fun....isn't it such a joy to teach??? I teach a 12 hr class every other month and OH do we have FUN!!!! It is exhausting for me, but it is worth it to be able to share such a fun day with my students. XXX Annie

I wish I was one of the lucky gals in your class - they will have a fun time and I am so envious of all the goodies they will receive. So by all means count me in on your drawing. Looking forward to your post after the class, so don't forget your camera :) Have a fun day!

Well Kim,
I am sure that you and your students will have a great time together- you do so many things to make the class special for your students. I would love to be one of your honorary students - Unfortunately writing report cards and a few thousand miles prevent me from attending. Have a great time- I am sure you will make beautiful quilts and laugh alot too.
Regards,
Anna

This is what I am thinking? How many classes do you allow for each new pattern you teach? What is the limit on students in your classes? Last one...how long is each class...hours?

I would much rather be attending your class than signing up for the give away from across the country. But, on the other hand, I won't have another UFO! Hope the class is having lots of fun. I'm back to vacuuming! UGH. Bonnie in the Poconos.

I would just love to be in one of your classes and if I ever leave the East Coast - Barepaws & Hollyhocks will be a travel destination. I hope your students appreciate all of your attention to detail.

I have been working like the dickens to finish up my Road To California quilt blocks - which is taking me FOREVER - so it really is a long trip!
