Kid Stuff

A friend sent this to me--I have no idea where it came from, but I thought you'd get a chuckle!

When students in a second grade class were given a homework assignment to draw a picture of what they wanted to be when they grew up, "Sarah" turned in the lovely drawing below. Needless to say, the teacher was a bit surprised--Sarah's mom, Mrs. Smith, had always seemed like such a conservative woman. So she sent a note home to the girl's mother asking for clarification as to the picture's meaning.

Dear Mrs. Jones,

I wish to clarify that I am not now, nor have I ever been, an exotic dancer. I work at Home Depot and I told my daughter, Sarah, how hectic it was last week before the blizzard hit. I told her we sold out every single shovel we had, and then I found one more in the back room, and that several people were fighting over who would get it. Her picture does NOT show me dancing around a pole. It's supposed to depict me selling the last snow shovel we had at Home Depot. From now on I will remember to check her homework more thoroughly before she turns it in.

Sincerely, Mrs. Smith

Oh dear - I'm afraid that pole dancing is exactly what came into my mind when I first saw it too - what does that say about me? :o)))

LOL! Reminds me of what a teacher told a group of parents at back to school night when my kids were little - she said "I promise to believe only half of what your child tells me about YOU, if you promise to believe only half of what they tell you about ME!" I always thought given kids imaginations that was a classic!

LOL, that is too funny. And I would never have guessed that it was a shovel. Thanks for starting my day off with a laugh.

An update on yesterday, I did make a pie for National pie day, like you mentioned... then later, I dropped it on the floor. *sigh* The horrible thing is that earlier this week I made a home-made pizza and it also ended up on the floor. What a clutz!

That's a hilarious picture!!
But makes me wonder do teachers really send home notes asking what the pictures means?? Even if she was a pole dancer would she need to explain that to the teacher?

This reminds me of a story written by an actual first grader of my co-worker. It went like this:

My Mom works at S@m's Wh0reh@us. She is a demo lady and gives out free sampals.

ROFL-MAO!
