I Love it When You Speak French . . .

Ah, Mon Ami . . . no I'm not speaking French.  Not exactly.  Mon Ami is the title of this Schnibbles quilt pattern.  This is another old one that I finally quilted--wooo-hoooo!  I changed up the pattern a little bit and I'll tell you about that in a second . . .

But in the meantime, look who must have been reading my blog about my cats not cooperating in photo shoots!  Ms. Spike!

She volunteered to model for me.  Well, the fact is, there wasn't much I could do to stop her because she always feels it's her duty to test out the new quilts.

So here's the original Mon Ami Schnibbles pattern.  I added sashings and a little extra in the way of borders to mine.

Oh, and my version isn't really French:  It's all American.  In fact, I'm beginning to feel distinctly red, white, and blue as we're moving toward Memorial Day, Flag Day, and the 4th of July.  How about you?

  1. I have never made a schnibbles quilt pattern, but they are all over the blog and are really neat. Would love to win, although you said in one of your blogs you rarely picked the first comment as your winner, but I have no choice in being your first.

  5. I love how you did the sashing and cornerstones. I like RWB too. You can put decorate with it beginning in May (for Memorial Day) and leave it up thru September (Labor Day)!

  7. The sashing you added to Mon Ami make the quilt IMHO! I have as many red, white and blue (most with a little goldish yellow too) quilts than I do Christmas quilts! They'll be going up in my house soon.
