Block 7 of the Country Cottages block of the month is finished--yay!
I really love these designs and can hardly wait for Shabby Fabric's Sweetheart Houses block of the month to begin--the first month's kit should arrive a little later this month, probably around my birthday which is on the 23rd. Sweetheart Houses looks much like Country Cottages but better. If you haven't seen it, click HERE.
Here's a look at my first seven blocks--please ignore the quilt-in-progress on the design wall under the blocks--
I'm starting to think about how I might want to set these blocks--I'm not sure how I'm going to be able to be patient until December when we get the last block design! I wonder what August's block will look like? I kind of think I'd like to make my house blue but maybe not; I'll have to wait and see the rest of the design. I'm not good at waiting.
It's beautiful! They all are. How will you display it when it's done? And the Sweethearts quilt is really beautiful too! Florence

ReplyDeleteIt's so cute Kim. This is your year for getting appliqué quiilts done. I know you'll come up with something cute for the setting of your houses. I only managed to get one house block done, but I'm dong this Christmas in July thing and it's keeping me busy.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely little cottages you have created. Congratulations for keeping up with each month. Can't wait to see the finish.
ReplyDeleteThose are looking wonderful! I haven't started mine yet - but I think perhaps today's the day! I'm inspired by how you've done yours - I'm thinking bright and girlie! Great work!
ReplyDeleteOh how fun! Your houses look so happy! And you are pretty speedy! Have a happy day!
ReplyDeletePretty Speedy-you have been named by Sandie above. I agree. What you do is pretty and speedy.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love your cottages...it's so fun to see them each month!
ReplyDeletePS I need your address to mail your charm packs!
Hello Miss Pretty Speedy.
ReplyDeleteLook at the blocks. Do you want another blue so close to block number 6?
Julie
I just realized that all your roofs are black fabrics. I love how that gives the blocks continuity. Just lovely, Kim! I finished my July block too, I'll have to post it this week. xo Jen
ReplyDeleteDid you tell me at one time that you used Annie's Farm Stand for your fabric? It's so cute!
