I celebrated our first day of vacation by being pretty darn lazy today. Oh, I started out okay--I was up and out of bed by 8 a.m. while Hubby slept in until 11 a.m. I couldn't believe he slept so long! Until I took a nap myself this afternoon and caught up to him on sleep!
We went out for Mexican food for dinner and I WAS going to go grocery shopping--except I was too lazy, as I mentioned before. So, I'll grocery shop tomorrow (today, really, because I'm up late, having slept half the day away).
The weather was overcast and gloomy all day--lovely weather as far as I'm concerned! So when I wasn't eating or sleeping, I hung out in the Sweat Shop, prepping applique pieces for the Halloween witch quilt, which is coming along nicely! I was going to take a photo to show you, but I think I'll wait until there's a little more to see.
Tomorrow we'll visit a thrift store or two, and then Hubby has big plans involving his recliner, the remote control, and the 49er game. Oh, and he also thinks I need to cook him a BIG breakfast before we hit the thrift stores. I don't really "do" big breakfasts for myself, but I'll indulge him for once.
The best--and most relaxing--part of vacation? I don't feel I have to get everything done by bedtime Sunday night. Still, I suspect I'll be a little more active tomorrow. Maybe. But only if I feel like it!
Have a terrific vacation, Kim! I can't wait to hear about your "adventures" - I'm sure you'll have some good tales to tell! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteGood for you. It pays to take a break from life's stress and just relax. I love the word "relax"....take care...don't over do.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you're having a wonderful time. Keep up the good "work."
ReplyDeleteI might have gone to a big flea market thing today and I might have picked up a ton of old buttons, some old stamps, and some old dog vaccination tags. For less than $10:) Nice!
ReplyDelete......and that is exactly how a vacation should roll!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your vacation! Lazy is good! ;o)
