Wish I worked in your office or lived next door. Tell me more about tamales - a filling (chicken this time) and corn husks. Where do you find corn husks? and is there a dough in there? I don't need a recipe, just a general idea. I could look it up but then, you are the expert! LOL. Happy New Year to you and your DH and family!!!Judy in Michiganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10663734488593757109noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-116061752441257596.post-89679715972143888152010-12-30T07:38:58.515-08:002010-12-30T07:38:58.515-08:00Thank you for sharing this story. I enjoy the time I spend at your blog, you always make me feel like I am sitting having tea with an old friend! And your office sounds like it is a nice place to work, makes me miss my old working buddies!
MariaMaria McCabehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13431840543907871644noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-116061752441257596.post-13845187152437496902010-12-30T06:55:33.052-08:002010-12-30T06:55:33.052-08:00Wish I were there! So I grew up thinking everybody ate hot tamales.

When i married and moved to Georgia nobody here knew what I was talking about. I couldn't find tamale papers in the stores. LOL

We prepare ours differently using ground beef and sausage. But they sure are good no matter what your preference.

Brought back childhood memories reading your blog today.

LindaHand Quilting Nanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14843861738670723275noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-116061752441257596.post-23253713433250991992010-12-30T05:00:15.765-08:002010-12-30T05:00:15.765-08:00That's what this season is all about...sharing...That's what this season is all about...sharing...Kelly Annhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18435791729143433819noreply@blogger.com
