You are so lucky to find one at a thrift shop. You pat the lid full of room temp butter, and then keep water in the bottom. The water keeps the air from getting in and oxidizing (changing the flavour of) your butter. At Williams Sonoma in Canada, they cost $45. Sweet deal, Kim!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-116061752441257596.post-26108668874883807342008-05-25T17:49:00.000-07:002008-05-25T17:49:00.000-07:00Seen one? You do find the greatest things during your thrift shopping- One day soon I will have to go out exploring there- maybe a better plan is for me to dig around in all my boxes in the basement of my house- I might find a treasure or two that I have forgotten about.LOl.. It is nice to see that you are feeling so much better...
Regards,
Annaquiltmom annahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01976120921532056369noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-116061752441257596.post-53934178204400081112008-05-25T16:39:00.000-07:002008-05-25T16:39:00.000-07:00My vote is for the butter "holder" too - you put c...My vote is for the butter "holder" too - you put cold water in the bottom and butter in the bowl part and you can leave your butter out on the counter and it stays soft - DH searched high and low for one of those a few years ago!PiecefulChaoshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03452502162353164660noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-116061752441257596.post-6362618052452221652008-05-25T16:24:00.000-07:002008-05-25T16:24:00.000-07:00I'm guessing with Red Geranium Cottage and saying ...I'm guessing with Red Geranium Cottage and saying it's a butter thingy.
