First week she went/learned rock climbing with ropes. And hiking where snakes are the least of my worries so it seems. Checking Facebook to see if she survived is not something I want to get used to!
"Half a bubble off center" was a phrase I couldn't wait to use in a blog title :)Laurie in Mainehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06022126513010116196noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-116061752441257596.post-52038281754191628012011-02-09T20:14:02.031-08:002011-02-09T20:14:02.031-08:00I am laughing as I read this... Sometimes I wonder where they get their sense of adventure! Mine just joined the Marines. Oye! This Mama is so proud, but dang. The recruiter came for dinner and told me that it is harder on the Mamas than it is on the recruits. Sigh. Hoping your son has a wonderful day and that your gray hairs are few and far between.Dirt Road Quilterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04686206587226283057noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-116061752441257596.post-39467329231446079132011-02-09T08:55:36.911-08:002011-02-09T08:55:36.911-08:00My husband has sky-dived several times, though not...My husband has sky-dived several times, though not recently. Now he scuba dives... Really, we live in Hawaii and at least once a week the news reports on someone who has died doing that! I'm sure that your son will be fine.

As far as the weird sayings go, we live in the Army and meet people from all walks of life and so get exposed to a lot. One of my husband's bosses was fond of saying "he/she will be on that like a hobo on a ham sandwich." Meaning, of course, in a nonpolitically correct way, that that is a viable option!

Have a great day and try not to worry. too much.JoAnnehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16725295327088235909noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-116061752441257596.post-78392590261702108902011-02-09T07:22:21.038-08:002011-02-09T07:22:21.038-08:00Oh boy. now I'm going to worry too!Oh boy. now I'm going to worry too!PunkiePie (Jen)https://www.blogger.com/profile/02049111666824907553noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-116061752441257596.post-78350050348260381882011-02-09T05:56:30.485-08:002011-02-09T05:56:30.485-08:00When my children were little, my mother in law alw...When my children were little, my mother in law always told me, "you think you worry about them now, wait til they are grown!"Jocelynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02714577523744715551noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-116061752441257596.post-26079804289051006832011-02-09T05:25:34.919-08:002011-02-09T05:25:34.919-08:00I understand completely! Personally, I despise heights and will only get on an airplane for a very good reason when there is no other option.

Take a few deep breaths and have a cup of tea:) We are here for you to vent to if you get anxious and need to "freak" out:)Melissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01344790920367167440noreply@blogger.com
